Okay, so, I’ve been into tarot cards for a while now, and I’ve always just kept them in their original boxes. You know, the ones they come in when you buy them? Some of those boxes are actually pretty nice, I gotta say. But, I’ve been thinking, maybe I should get a special bag just for my cards. It’s like, these cards are kind of important to me, and maybe they deserve something a bit more, well, special.
So I started looking around, just browsing, and there are so many options for tarot card bags. I mean, you wouldn’t believe it. Some are simple, just a little pouch with a drawstring. Others are way more elaborate, with fancy embroidery, beads, all kinds of stuff. It made me think, what do I really want in a bag?

First, I grabbed a couple of my decks, just to get a feel for their sizes. I realized that not all decks are the same. I have one that’s a bit thicker than the others, so I knew I needed a bag that would fit it comfortably. I mean, I don’t want to be struggling to get the cards in and out, right?
Then I started thinking about the material. I saw some made of velvet, which looked really luxurious. But then I thought, maybe velvet would attract a lot of dust and lint? I also saw some made of silk, which seemed nice and smooth. But, is silk durable enough? I mean, I’m going to be using this bag a lot, I hope.
I decided to go with a simple cotton bag. Practical, you know? It’s not too fancy, but it’s sturdy and I can wash it if it gets dirty. I also wanted something with a drawstring closure. I just like the idea of being able to cinch it tight and keep my cards safe inside.
Then came the fun part – picking a design! I spent hours looking at different patterns and colors. There were so many cool ones, it was hard to choose. Finally, I found one that I really liked. It’s a dark blue color with a celestial pattern, a moon and stars. Kinda fitting for tarot cards, right?
- Considered size: Made sure it fit all my decks.
- Thought about material: Weighed the pros and cons of velvet, silk, and cotton.
- Chose cotton: For its practicality and durability.
- Preferred drawstring: For secure closure.
- Selected a design: A dark blue celestial pattern.
I ordered the bag online and it arrived a few days later. I was so excited to finally put my cards in it! It felt good to give them a new home. It’s a small thing, I know, but it makes me feel more connected to my cards somehow. Like, I’m taking care of them, you know? And honestly, it just looks nicer than those cardboard boxes.
I’ve been using the bag for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with it. It’s just the right size, it’s easy to carry around, and it keeps my cards protected. Plus, I just love the way it looks. It’s a little thing, but it makes my tarot practice feel a bit more special. I do think about getting a new one that is fancier, but for now, this one will do. I will keep looking around for a better one.
