Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get a handle on my schedule, and I thought a Chinese zodiac calendar for 2015 might be a fun, visual way to do it. I mean, who doesn’t love those little animal signs, right?
Finding the Goods
First things first, I needed to figure out what the animal was for 2015. A quick search told me it was the Year of the Goat (or Sheep, apparently it’s interchangeable!).

Then, I hunted around for a good, printable calendar. I wanted something that had both the regular Gregorian dates and the lunar dates, since the Chinese zodiac follows the lunar calendar.
Printing and Assembling
After finding a suitable online Calendar, I printed it out. Luckily, I found one that was already nicely laid out. The fun part was choosing the paper. The first time, I chose regular A4 paper, it was not very useful for long time use, So I bought a stack of thicker, cream-colored paper which make my calendar more textured.
Using the Calendar
Now, with my calendar ready,I started marking down important dates. Things like birthdays, anniversaries, and deadlines. I also made a note of the Chinese New Year date in 2015 (February 19th, if you’re curious!). I even looked up the dates for the different zodiac signs within the year, just for kicks.
The Final Result
- It is more visually appealing than my plain old digital calendar.
- It’s kind of neat to have a little cultural element mixed into my daily schedule.
- I feel a bit more connected to the flow of the lunar year, which is pretty cool.
All in all, it was a surprisingly simple project, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Plus, I learned a little something about the Chinese zodiac along the way!
