Alright, let’s talk about this… this “klo-tho” thing and stars, or whatever you young folks call it, “as-tro-lo-jee.” I ain’t no fancy scholar, but I’ll tell ya what I know, the way I know how.
So, they got these rocks flyin’ around up there, big ones, small ones, all sorts. And this Klotho, it’s one of ‘em. They say it’s a big one, in the “main belt.” Sounds like a sturdy fella, that Klotho. Now, these smarty-pants, they give these rocks names, like they name their chickens or somethin’. This Klotho, it’s named after some old lady from Greece, one of them “Fates” they call ‘em. This lady, she was in charge of spinnin’ the thread of life. Imagine that, spinnin’ life like yarn!

So, what’s this Klotho got to do with the stars tellin’ your fortune? Well, that’s where it gets a bit tricky. They say this Klotho rock, when you look at where it is when you were born, or when somethin’ happens, it tells ya about the start of things. Like, how a relationship kicks off, or how a job begins. If it’s gonna be good or bad, you know?
They got other rocks too, don’t ya know. Cupido, that’s another one. Sounds like somethin’ sweet, like a little angel. But it ain’t always about love and such. Sometimes it just means you want to get somethin’ done, like cleanin’ the house or fixin’ the fence. If it’s in a certain spot, they say it means you’re all about workin’ hard and doin’ your duty. See, it ain’t always fancy stuff.
- Klotho, they say, is about beginnings. How somethin’ starts, the very first bit.
- Then there are others, like that “Lachesis,” that tells ya what happens after you make a choice. You know, like when you decide to plant corn instead of beans, what comes of it.
- And they got this “Hybris” too, but I ain’t quite sure what that one’s about. Sounds like trouble, though.
It’s like this, you see. You got your regular stars, the ones you see at night, makin’ pretty pictures up there. And then you got these other rocks, these asteroids, flyin’ around, addin’ their own little bit to the story. They say these rocks can tell ya about your relationships, if they’re gonna last, if they’re gonna be happy. They can tell ya about your life, what kind of person you are, what you’re good at, what you gotta watch out for.
Now, some of these rocks, they’re about fate, about what’s meant to be. Like that “Moirai” bunch, or “Psyche,” or “Eros.” Sounds like a lot of mumbo jumbo to me, but some folks swear by it. They say these rocks can tell ya about past lives, about who you were before, who you’re meant to be with now. It’s like readin’ a story, but the story is your life.
And there’s more than just Klotho, you know. They got Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Vesta… Sounds like a bunch of old ladies gossiping at the market, if you ask me. But these folks, they say each rock has its own meanin’, its own story to tell. They add somethin’ extra to the picture, like spices in a stew.
So, this Klotho, it’s all about the start. It’s about how things begin, the circumstances around it. Was it a good start? A bad start? Did it start with a bang or a whimper? That’s what Klotho tells ya, or so they say. It’s like lookin’ at the first few rows of your garden, seein’ if the seeds sprouted good, if the soil is rich, if the weeds are gonna be a problem. It tells a little story, like how you met your husband, or how you got that job at the cannery.

Now, I ain’t sayin’ I believe all this star-talk. I believe in hard work, in bein’ good to your neighbors, in plantin’ your crops when the time is right. But maybe there’s somethin’ to it, you know? Maybe those rocks up there, they got a little somethin’ to say about our lives. Maybe they can give us a little nudge in the right direction, or a little warnin’ if we’re headed for trouble.
Or maybe it’s just a bunch of hooey. But it sure is somethin’ to think about, ain’t it?
