Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about Matthew Perry’s passing and, naturally, people are diving deep into his astrology chart. I got curious, so I figured I’d take a look myself and see what all the fuss was about. I’m no expert, but I like poking around with this stuff.
Getting Started
First, I needed to get his birth info. Luckily that I have found some website talking about his birthday is August 19, 1969, in Williamstown, Massachusetts. I didn’t have an exact birth time, which is super important for a really accurate chart, but I went ahead anyway, just for a rough idea.

I found that his Sun is in Leo and Moon is in Aries!
Plugging in the Data
Next,I just typed them into the chart calculator, I entered August 19, 1969, and Williamstown, MA. I left the time blank since I didn’t know it. Boom! A chart popped up. It looked like a bunch of symbols and lines at first.
Making Sense of It All
I started looking at the basics. The Sun sign, everyone knows that, right? He’s a Leo. That makes sense – Leos are known for being charismatic, the center of attention, just like he was on “Friends”. Then I looked at his Moon sign, which is supposed to represent emotions. I think it landed in Aries. Aries Moons are known for being, well, fiery and impulsive.I saw that this chart said he has a lot of Leo placements. I did read it from one of the popular astrology website.
Digging Deeper
I found that mercury is in Leo and Venus is in Virgo.
And I learned that Perry’s chart shows a grand trine in fire signs — a.k.a. an equilateral triangle connecting three signs of the same element — linking his moon in Aries, Mercury in Leo, and Saturn in Aries. That made me think about the challenges and also the energy drive he’s got.

My Takeaway
So, even without the birth time, this was pretty interesting. It gave me a little glimpse into what might have been going on with him, astrologically speaking. I am a beginner in learning this. But I am sure that his chart is complex and this is just a little piece of the puzzle.
And I’m definitely going to keep playing around with these charts. It’s kind of addictive!
