Okay, so I’ve been meaning to share this for a while now, and today’s the day. I finally sat down and listened to this podcast episode all about Frida Kahlo’s astrology. Yeah, you heard that right, astrology. Now, I’m not really into all that zodiac stuff, but Frida, she’s just… different. She’s an icon, you know? So, I was curious.
First thing I did was fire up my laptop and find the episode. It’s called something like, “ALL HAIL THE OG SELFIE QUEEN,” which, let’s be real, is pretty accurate. Frida was taking selfies way before it was cool. Anyway, I got myself a cup of coffee, put on my headphones, and hit play. These guys in the podcast, they really dive deep into her birth chart, especially this thing called a “12th House stellium.”

They talk a lot about how it influenced her life, her art, and even her health problems. Honestly, some of it went over my head. Like I said, astrology isn’t exactly my forte. But they connected it to her paintings and how she expressed her pain and emotions, and that was fascinating.
Listening to the whole episode, I start to get this kinda picture of who Frida was, beyond just the famous paintings. Like, she was complex, she had a ton of stuff going on inside her. I was really intrigued when they talk about how someone sealed her room for 47 years after her death, and opened it finally in 2004. I mean, what’s in there?
- Find the podcast episode.
- Get comfortable and start listening.
- Try to understand the astrology terms (mostly fail).
- Get hooked by the connection between her chart and her art.
- Realize there’s more to Frida than just the surface.
- Wondering what they found in that sealed room.
The whole experience was pretty eye-opening.
And that actress, Salma Hayek, she played Frida in a movie, right? I remember seeing that a while back. Now I kinda want to watch it again, with all this new perspective on Frida’s life. She was a Cancer Sun, by the way. At 00:38:22, they start to talk more about her. I was like, “Wow, this is so interesting.”
So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of Frida Kahlo and astrology. It was way more interesting than I expected. I still don’t understand all the astrology stuff, but I definitely have a new appreciation for Frida. Might even try to learn more about this 12th House thing. Who knows, maybe I’ll become an astrology convert after all. But for now, I just feel like I got to know a really amazing woman a little bit better.
