Okay, so, today I wanted to mess around with something a bit different – Telugu astrology based on your birth date. I’ve always been kind of curious about this stuff, so I thought, why not give it a shot and see what all the fuss is about? I mean, who knows, right? Maybe the stars really do have something to say about us. Let’s go!
First off, I needed to gather my birth info. You know, the usual: date, time, and place of birth. I dug up my birth certificate to make sure I got everything exactly right. You can’t be guessing with this stuff, or the whole thing might be off.

Next, I started looking around for how to actually use this info to create a birth chart. I found that there are a bunch of websites and apps out there that do this. Some of them are specifically for Telugu astrology, which was cool. So, I picked one that looked pretty user-friendly, like you didn’t need to be an expert to figure it out, and decided to give it a whirl.
I plugged in all my details, hit the “generate chart” button, or whatever it was called, and bam! There it was, my very own birth chart. It was full of all these symbols and lines, and honestly, I had no clue what most of it meant at first.
But the website I used also had some explanations and interpretations for each part of the chart, thank goodness. So, I started reading through those. It talked about the position of the planets at the time I was born and what each position could mean in terms of personality traits, strengths, weaknesses, and even potential life events. They need all that.
Here’s a rough breakdown of what I did to read my birth chart:
- Check the ascendant degrees: This is apparently super important because it sets the stage for the whole chart.
- Check the placement of the ascendant lord: The ruler of the ascendant, wherever it sits in your chart, shows where a lot of your energy goes.
- Check the placement of the moon: This represents your emotional side, your inner self.
- Check the placement of the sun: This is your core identity, your ego, your basic personality.
- Check the rest of the planets: Each planet has its own area of influence. For example, Mercury is about communication, Venus is about love and beauty, Mars is about drive and ambition, and so on.
- Check for aspects: These are the angles between planets, and they show how different parts of your personality interact with each other.
- Check for functional malefic and functional benefice planets: These are basically planets that are either helping you out or causing trouble, depending on your specific chart.
Honestly, it was a lot to take in, but it was also super interesting. Some of the things it said about me felt pretty accurate, which was kind of freaky, even for someone like me who’s usually a bit skeptical about this stuff. I’m not saying I’m a total believer now, but it definitely made me think.
I also tried a couple of different websites and apps, just to see if they would give me similar readings. For the most part, they did, although there were some variations in the details. So if you decide to try this, I recommend checking out a few different sources and comparing them.

I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface here. There’s so much more to learn about Telugu astrology, like the different houses, the nakshatras (lunar mansions), and all sorts of other stuff that’s way over my head right now. But hey, this was a fun little experiment, and I might just keep digging deeper to see what else I can find out.
