Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole “lords of houses” thing in Vedic astrology. It’s, like, way different from the usual zodiac stuff we see, right? It took me some time to figure out how to read this Vedic astrology, but I eventually did it. Let me walk you through what I did.
First, I grabbed my birth chart from one of those free online calculators. You just pop in your birth details, and boom, you’ve got a chart. But, honestly, it looked like a bunch of weird symbols at first. I spent a good chunk of time just staring at it, trying to make sense of it all.

Then, I started digging into what each part of the chart means. In Vedic astrology, they’ve got these things called “houses,” and each one represents a different area of your life, like career, relationships, all that jazz. I found some basic guides online and started matching the symbols in my chart to what they were supposed to represent.
- House 1: This is all about you, your personality, how you look.
- House 2: This one’s about your money, family, speech.
- House 3: Siblings, courage, short trips, that kind of stuff.
- And so on… There are 12 houses in total.
The tricky part is that each house has a “lord,” which is basically the planet that rules that house. So, I had to figure out which planet rules which sign, and then see where that planet is sitting in my chart. That’s where it gets real interesting.
For example, if the lord of your 7th house (relationships) is hanging out in your 10th house (career), it could mean your career is somehow connected to your relationships. Maybe you meet your partner at work, or your career helps you build relationships, you know? I wrote down all these connections and tried to understand what my own planets and houses were saying. It took a lot of notes and cross-referencing, for sure.
My Findings
After all that, I started seeing some patterns. Like, the lord of my 2nd house (money) is in my 6th house (daily work), which could explain why I’m always so focused on earning through my job. I compared all my notes with others’ birth charts and found very interesting information.
It’s still a bit confusing, but I feel like I’m getting the hang of it. It’s like learning a new language, but for your life. I’m definitely going to keep exploring this, and maybe I’ll even do readings for my friends once I get better at it. If you wanna try it you can find a birth time calculator, calculate your birth chart and start making notes of all the houses and their lords.
