Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole astrology thing, and let me tell you, it’s a trip. Lately, I’ve been super into something called the Cupido asteroid. Yeah, sounds romantic, right? Well, it kinda is, but it’s way more than just hearts and flowers.
So, first off, I had to figure out where this Cupido thing even was in my birth chart. I used one of those online birth chart calculators – super easy, just plug in your birth date, time, and place, and boom, you’ve got your chart. Cupido isn’t always listed by default, so I had to go into the extended settings and manually add it. It’s asteroid number 763, by the way.

Once I found Cupido, I started digging into what it means. Turns out, Cupido represents desire, longing, and attraction. But it’s not just about romantic desire. It can be a desire for anything – a career, a hobby, a lifestyle, whatever. It’s that deep yearning in your soul. I also noticed that there were some other asteroids worth knowing, such as Eros. Apparently, Eros sign represents how sexual you are, what turns you on, and even what fetishes you may possess. And the major asteroids in astrology are Ceres, Juno, Vesta, Pallas, Chiron, Eros and Lilith. That’s a lot to take in, so I just picked up the ones I felt interested in for now.
Now, my Cupido is in Gemini, in the third house. So I looked that up, and it made a weird amount of sense. Gemini is all about communication, learning, and connecting with people. The third house is also about communication, as well as siblings, short trips, and your local community. It’s about how you express yourself and interact with the world around you.
- Cupido in Gemini: This suggests that my desires are tied to intellectual pursuits, communication, and variety. I crave mental stimulation and get bored easily. I’m always seeking new information and experiences, and I love sharing what I learn with others.
- Cupido in the Third House: This placement amplifies the Gemini energy. It indicates that my desires are expressed through my communication style, my relationships with siblings and neighbors, and my involvement in my local community. I might be drawn to writing, teaching, or any field that involves connecting with people and sharing ideas.
I started to see how this played out in my own life. I’ve always been a curious person, always learning new things. And I love talking to people, sharing ideas, and connecting with others. It’s like this deep need within me. It was wild to think that an asteroid could represent something so core to who I am.
But I didn’t stop there. I also checked out the aspects that Cupido makes to other planets in my chart. Aspects are basically the angles between planets, and they show how the energies of those planets interact. I won’t bore you with all the details, but let’s just say there were some interesting connections to my Venus (love, relationships) and my Mercury (communication, intellect).
For example, I have a trine between Cupido and Mercury. Trines are harmonious aspects, so this suggests that my desires (Cupido) flow easily with my intellect and communication style (Mercury). It makes sense – I often desire intellectual conversations and connections. My mind turns on by engaging with intelligent people.
Then, I noticed something called Psyche and North Node. I researched a bit and found that in astrology, North Node shows the inner longing of your soul, and Psyche is all about your mind and spirit. I made note of their positions and signs in my chart but haven’t yet dug deeper.

It was kind of mind-blowing to see how all these different parts of my chart were connected. It was like putting together a puzzle, and the pieces were starting to form a picture of who I am and what I want out of life. I did notice that the website I was using had a tag section that said “Cupido in Leo” and “Astrological Charts with Cupido.” I made a mental note to look into those later. I also saw a mention of a Premium Membership with the ability to do even more research. If I really get into this, I might consider it.
I’m still learning about all this, but it’s been a fascinating journey so far. It’s like astrology is giving me a new language to understand myself and my desires. And who knows, maybe it’ll even help me figure out what I’m really meant to do in this life.
