Okay, so I’ve been seeing these horoscope necklaces everywhere and I finally caved. I’m a Leo, so obviously, I needed a Leo one. I decided I was not going to just order it online. I’d make it myself, and I’d do that for a reasonable price. Here’s how my little DIY project went down.
Finding the Supplies
First things first, I needed the stuff. I went a local craft store.

- Chain:I picked a gold-colored one, it looks good. Not too thick, not too thin. Just a simple, dainty chain.
- Pendant/Charm: This was the fun part! I saw the small and cute pendant. There was a small Leo symbol. I chose the simpler and smaller one.
- Jump Rings:These tiny little circles are essential for connecting the charm to the chain. I grabbed a pack of assorted sizes, just in case.
- Pliers: I already had some at home. You need two pairs.
Putting It All Together
Assembly time! This is where things can get fiddly, so patience is key. I laid everything out on a soft cloth so I wouldn’t lose any tiny pieces.
- Open a Jump Ring:Took two pliers. I grabbed the jump ring, one on each side of the split. Instead of pulling it apart, I twisted the ends away from each other. It’s like opening a door, not pulling it off the hinges.
- Attach the Charm:I slipped the Leo charm onto the open jump ring.
- Attach to Chain:I found the middle point of the chain and slipped that onto the jump ring too.
- Close the Jump Ring: Using the pliers, I twisted the ends of the jump ring back together. Making sure it was securely closed, so I wouldn’t lose my charm.
The Finished Product!
And that’s it! It was so easy. I now have a custom-made. It took around 20 minutes to make at most. I am so happy about it. It is not perfect but definitely, it is worthy. It’s personalized. I would try different signs for my friends.
