Okay, so I’ve been meaning to try out this Chakra Tarot Spread I saw online, and today I finally did it! I’m still pretty new to tarot, but I’m really into the whole chakra thing, so I thought this would be a cool way to combine the two.
First, I cleared my space. You know, lit some incense, put on some chill music, the usual. Gotta get the vibes right! Then, I shuffled my deck while focusing on my intention: to get a clearer picture of my energy centers. I used the Rider-Waite deck, because it’s what works for me.

The Spread
It’s a seven-card spread, one card for each chakra. It looks simple as following:
- Root Chakra (Muladhara): This card represents your foundation, your sense of security and stability.
- Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana): This one’s all about creativity, pleasure, and emotions.
- Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura): This is your power center, your self-esteem, and your will.
- Heart Chakra (Anahata): Love, compassion, and connection – that’s what this card is about.
- Throat Chakra (Vishuddha): This card represents communication, self-expression, and truth.
- Third Eye Chakra (Ajna): Intuition, insight, and wisdom are the focus here.
- Crown Chakra (Sahasrara): This card is all about connection to the divine, spirituality, and enlightenment.
I laid out the cards one by one, face down, in a vertical line. Then, I took a few deep breaths and flipped them over.
For my root, I put the three of pentacles. My sacral chakra was the six of cups. Then, solar plexus I got, wow! The Strength card. Heart, knight of cups. Throat was a tricky one with seven of swords. Third eye was represented by nine of pentacles. Lastly, for my Crown I laid the ace of wands!
Honestly, some of the cards made immediate sense. Like, I totally get why I got The Star card. It felt pretty spot-on for the state of my emotions. Others, I had to sit with for a bit. I pulled out my tarot journal and jotted down my initial thoughts about each card, then looked up some interpretations online and in my favorite tarot book.
After reflecting on each card and how it related to its corresponding chakra, I started to see some patterns. For example, several cards suggested I might be holding back creatively, which is something I’ve been feeling for a while. It was like a little wake-up call!
It was very cool, it was not that difficult. I should do that more frequently!
