Okay, so I finally got my hands on the Ethereal Visions Tarot deck. I’ve been eyeing it for, like, forever, and I decided to just go for it. I was so excited to tear into that box!
First thing I did was just shuffle them. I wanted to get a feel for the cards, you know? The card stock felt pretty good, not too flimsy, not too stiff. Just right for my clumsy hands.

Getting to Know the Cards
Then, I laid them all out. Face up, of course. Gotta see those beautiful pictures! I spent a good hour just looking at each one. The artwork is really something else, all dreamy and Art Nouveau-ish. Seriously, I could just frame some of these and hang them on my wall.
- The colors are really soft and muted, which I dig.
- Gold lines are so great, they just pop up.
- And those little details! I kept finding new things to notice every time I looked.
After I’d soaked up all the pretty, I grabbed the little guidebook that came with the deck. It’s got some basic meanings for each card, upright and reversed. It’s good to start.
First Reading Attempt
Next up: time for a reading! I decided to keep it simple and just do a three-card spread for myself: past, present, future. Nothing fancy, just wanted to see how the cards felt in action.
I shuffled again, really focused on my question (which was super vague, something like “What do I need to know right now?”), and then drew my three cards.
Honestly, the reading was kind of surprising! I won’t bore you with the details, but it definitely gave me some stuff to think about. The guidebook helped me interpret the cards, but I also tried to just trust my gut and see what the images sparked in my own mind.
My takeaway
So, overall, first impressions of the Ethereal Visions Tarot? Love it! It’s a beautiful deck, feels good to use, and I think it’s going to be a great addition to my little collection. Can’t wait to keep working with it and see what other insights it can offer. Next, I’m going to try a more complex spread, maybe a Celtic Cross. Wish me luck!
