Well, hello there, everyone! Let’s yak a bit about somethin’ called the Chinese Zodiac, and some colorin’ pages you can get for it. I ain’t no fancy scholar, mind you, just an old woman who’s seen a thing or two, and I’ll tell ya what I know.
So, this Chinese New Year, it happened on February 12th this year, and it’s the year of the… the Ox! Yep, a big ol’ strong Ox. And wouldn’t ya know it, there’s all sorts of pictures you can print out and color, all about this here Chinese Zodiac. They call ’em colorin’ pages, real cute they are.

Now, what is this Zodiac thingamajig, you ask? Well, it’s like this: They got 12 animals, and each year gets its own animal. It goes in a special order, like a big circle. Let me see if I can remember ‘em all now. First comes the Rat, sneaky little fella. Then the Ox, strong and steady. After that, the Tiger, fierce and stripy. Then comes the Rabbit, all fluffy and jumpy.
- Rat
- Ox
- Tiger
- Rabbit
- Dragon (my goodness, a fire-breathin’ one!)
- Snake (the slitherin’ kind)
- Horse (good for pullin’ carts)
- Goat (or maybe they call it a Sheep, I get ‘em mixed up sometimes)
- Monkey (always up to mischief)
- Rooster (wakes ya up in the mornin’)
- Dog (man’s best friend, they say)
- Pig (nice and plump)
Yep, that’s the whole bunch of ‘em. Each one gets a whole year named after it. And like I said, this year, it’s the Ox’s turn. So, you can find all sorts of pictures to color with the Ox on ‘em. You know, kids like that kinda stuff. Keeps ‘em busy, outta trouble.
I reckon these colorin’ pages are a good way to learn about this here Zodiac. You see the animals, you color ‘em in, and maybe someone tells you a story about each one. Like the Rat, he’s clever. The Ox, he’s hardworking. The Tiger, he’s brave. And so on and so forth. It’s all pretty interestin’, if you ask me.
Now, where do you find these colorin’ pages? Well, I ain’t too good with this newfangled internet stuff, but my grandkid, he showed me. You just type in some words on that there computer thingy, and poof! Pictures pop up. He said somethin’ about “free printable Chinese Zodiac colorin’ pages.” Sounded like a mouthful to me, but it works! You can find all sorts of ‘em, big ones, small ones, some fancy, some plain.
I even saw some that you can download, whatever that means. My grandkid says you save ‘em on the computer and then you can print ‘em out whenever you want. Land sakes, these young folks and their gadgets! But I gotta admit, it’s kinda handy. Saves you from havin’ to go to the store and buy a colorin’ book.
And the best part? Most of these pages, they’re free! You don’t gotta spend a dime. That’s always a good thing, especially these days. Money don’t grow on trees, you know. So, if you got some little ones runnin’ around, or even if you just wanna do some colorin’ yourself – no shame in that, I say! – go ahead and find those Zodiac colorin’ pages. It’s a fun way to pass the time and learn a little somethin’ too.

So there you have it, a little bit about the Chinese Zodiac and the colorin’ pages you can find. It’s a big world out there, with all sorts of different things to learn about. And sometimes, the simplest things, like colorin’ a picture of a Pig or a Rooster, can teach you a whole lot. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll go find my own crayons and see if I can color that Ox picture myself!
