Well, let me tell ya ’bout these Chinese calendar zodiac signs, or whatever they call ’em. It’s a whole bunch of animals, like a barnyard jamboree, but with a twist. They say it tells ya somethin’ ’bout when you’re born and what kind of person ya are. Don’t know how much of it’s true, but it’s kinda fun to think about, ya know?
First off, there’s the Rat. Now, rats, they’re sneaky little critters, always gettin’ into everything. But they’re also smart, gotta give ’em that. They say rat people are quick thinkers, always lookin’ out for themselves. Can’t say I blame ’em, gotta survive in this world, right? Adaptable, they say. Means they can wiggle their way outta anythin’. And optimistic? Well, maybe if you’re a rat and find a whole sack of grain, you’d be optimistic too!

Then comes the Ox. Big, strong fellas. They work hard, real hard. You see an ox in the field, it’s plowin’ and pullin’ and never complainin’. So, ox people, they say they’re dependable, ya know? You can count on ’em. They ain’t flashy, but they get the job done. And stubborn? Oh, they can be stubborn as a mule stuck in mud. But that ain’t always a bad thing, sometimes ya gotta stick to your guns.
- Next up is the Tiger. Fierce, ain’t they? King of the jungle, they say. Tiger people, they got that fire in ’em. Brave, they ain’t afraid of nothin’. And confident? They strut around like they own the place. But they can be a bit bossy too, gotta watch out for that.
- After the tiger, it’s the Rabbit. Cute little things, but don’t let that fool ya. Rabbits are quick, gotta be to get away from those tigers! Rabbit people, they’re gentle and kind, but they ain’t pushovers. They’re smart and they know how to get what they want.
Then there’s the Dragon. Now, dragons ain’t real, but they’re powerful symbols. Dragon people, they got that charisma, ya know? They draw people in. And they’re ambitious, always reachin’ for the stars. But they can be a bit hot-headed too, gotta be careful not to get burned.
Following the dragon is the Snake. Some folks are scared of snakes, but I ain’t. They’re just misunderstood. Snake people, they’re wise and mysterious. They think before they act, always plannin’ their next move. And they’re charming too, they can wrap you around their little finger if you ain’t careful.
After the snake comes the Horse. Wild and free, that’s what horses are. Horse people, they’re energetic, always on the go. And they’re independent, they don’t need nobody to tell ’em what to do. But they can be a bit impatient too, gotta learn to slow down sometimes.
Then we got the Goat, or some folks call it a Sheep, makes no difference to me. Gentle creatures, they are. Goat people, they’re kind and compassionate. They care about others and they always try to do the right thing. But they can be a bit timid too, gotta learn to stand up for themselves.
Next is the Monkey. Cheeky little fellas, always up to mischief. Monkey people, they’re clever and playful. They love to have fun and they’re always makin’ people laugh. But they can be a bit restless too, gotta learn to focus sometimes.

After the monkey is the Rooster. Loud and proud, that’s what roosters are. Rooster people, they’re confident and outspoken. They ain’t afraid to say what’s on their mind. And they’re punctual too, always on time. But they can be a bit bossy too, gotta watch out for that.
Then we got the Dog. Loyal and true, that’s what dogs are. Dog people, they’re honest and reliable. You can always count on them to be there for you. And they’re protective too, they’ll always look out for their loved ones. But they can be a bit anxious too, gotta learn to relax sometimes.
Finally, there’s the Pig. Now, some folks think pigs are dirty, but they ain’t. They’re just misunderstood. Pig people, they’re kind and generous. They love to share and they always have a smile on their face. And they’re easygoing too, they don’t let things bother them too much. But they can be a bit gullible too, gotta learn to be more careful.
So, there ya have it. The twelve Chinese calendar zodiac signs. Like I said, I don’t know how much of it’s true, but it’s fun to think about. Maybe you see a little bit of yourself in one of them animals, maybe ya don’t. Either way, it’s just a bit of fun, ain’t nothin’ to take too seriously. Now, where’d I put my tea…?
