So, I got this idea the other day, right? I was like, “Why not mess around with that whole Chinese zodiac thing?” I mean, I’ve seen it around, with all those animals and stuff. Figured it could be a fun little project to figure out how they work. It all kicked off on January 29th, 1835—yeah, I went way back!—and let me tell you, it was a bit of a head-scratcher at first.
I started digging around, trying to find out what each year meant. You know, what animal was in charge and all that. Turns out, the Chinese Zodiac has 12 signs, and they always start with the Rat. I kept reading and find that there are a total of 12 animals in it, and they follow a specific order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, and Dog. Then I began to write them on the paper.

Write them Down
After I knew what animals were involved, I began to write them down on the paper. I wrote from 1835 to today, and I marked each year with its corresponding animal. I also created a sheet to make it clear.
- 1835 – Rabbit
- 1836 – Dragon
- 1837 – Snake
- 1838 – Horse
- 1839 – Goat
- 1840 – Monkey
- 1841 – Rooster
- 1842 – Dog
- 1843 – Pig
- 1844 – Rat
- 1845 – Ox
- 1846 – Tiger
I just kept going and going, year after year. Turns out, these zodiac signs are more than just a cool calendar. People believe they can tell you about your personality and stuff. Pretty wild, huh? And there was a pattern, a cycle that repeats every 12 years.
So, I did this for every year, all the way up to now. It was kind of cool, seeing how it all looped back around. And who knew, maybe there’s something to this whole destiny thing they talk about. Anyway, it was a fun dive into something different, and I got to learn a bunch along the way. That’s the best part, right? Just trying new things and seeing where they take you.
