Okay, so the other day I got it into my head that I wanted to figure out what the Chinese zodiac animal was for 2020. I’ve always been kind of fascinated by the Chinese calendar, you know? It’s so different from what I grew up with.
So, first, I grabbed my phone and opened up the browser. I typed in something like “Chinese zodiac 2020” and hit enter. Lots of stuff popped up, but nothing that made sense for me.

My Research
Then I started clicking around, trying to find a simple chart or something. I found a few websites that talked about the animals and the years, but they were kind of confusing. They had all these details about elements and lucky colors and stuff, and honestly, I just wanted the basics.
After a while, I finally stumbled upon a site that had a clear list. It showed all the animals in order and the years they represented. I scrolled down until I found 2020, and there it was, big as life, that year was the Year of the Rat.

It was kind of cool to finally figure it out. And hey, now I know that 2020 was the Year of the Rat. I even read a little bit about what that’s supposed to mean. Apparently, people born in the Year of the Rat are supposed to be clever and resourceful. Who knew?
Anyway, that’s the story of how I figured out the Chinese zodiac animal for 2020. It took a little digging, but I got there in the end. It’s always fun to learn something new, right?
