Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make a constellation hoodie for a while now. I finally got around to it, and I’m here to share my experience. You know, the whole process, from start to finish.
First, I searched for some inspiration online. I browsed through tons of designs, trying to figure out what I wanted. There are so many cool constellation designs out there! It was a bit overwhelming, honestly. I finally settled on a design featuring my zodiac sign, Leo. Thought it would be a nice personal touch, you know?

Next, I needed to find a plain hoodie. I went to a few local stores, but nothing really caught my eye. They were either the wrong color, the wrong size, or just not the right material. I wanted something soft and comfy, but also durable. Eventually, I found one online. It was plain black, which is exactly what I was looking for. Perfect canvas for my project!
Then came the fun part – transferring the design onto the hoodie. I decided to use glow-in-the-dark fabric paint. I mean, who doesn’t love glow-in-the-dark stuff, right? I carefully sketched out the Leo constellation on the hoodie using a white fabric pencil, and then I applied the fabric paint. It was a bit tricky, I’ll admit. Getting those little stars just right took some patience. I used a small, very thin brush.
After that I had to wait for it to dry. That was probably the hardest part. I’m not the most patient person, let me tell you. I kept checking on it every hour, even though I knew it would take way longer. I was just so excited to see the finished product!
Finally, it was dry! I put the hoodie on, turned off the lights, and…bam! It glowed! It actually worked! I was so stoked. All that work had paid off. It looks awesome, if I do say so myself. It’s become my go-to hoodie now. I wear it all the time.
- Found a plain hoodie online after searching locally.
- Sketched the design with a fabric pencil.
- Applied glow-in-the-dark fabric paint.
- Waited for the paint to dry (the hardest part!).
- Enjoyed the glowing result!
It was a fun little project, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Maybe I’ll try another constellation next time. Or maybe even a whole galaxy! The possibilities are endless.
