Okay, so yesterday I started messing around with Tarot cards again. I wanted to really get into the meaning of the Transformation card. I pulled out my old deck, the one I’ve had since college. It’s got a bit of wear and tear, but hey, that adds character, right?
First, I laid out all the cards face down and just kind of shuffled them around with my hands, trying to clear my mind. Then, I picked the cards that felt right and started with the most common ones.

- The Death Card: I always start with this one, and it’s not as scary as it sounds. It’s all about endings, yeah, but it’s also about making way for new beginnings. Like closing one door so another can open.
- The Tower Card: This one’s a bit more intense. It’s about sudden change, upheaval, stuff falling apart. But I realized it’s also about breaking down old structures that don’t serve us anymore, which is important for real growth.
- The Fool Card: This one represents new beginnings, a fresh start. I interpret it as the start of a journey, stepping into the unknown with a bit of blind faith.
I spent a good chunk of time with each card, just looking at the images and jotting down whatever thoughts popped into my head. It’s always interesting to see how the meanings shift depending on what’s going on in my life.
For example, when I looked at the Death card, I saw it as letting go of old habits that were holding me back, like procrastinating or being too self-critical. The Tower reminded me that sometimes things need to fall apart before they can be rebuilt better. And The Fool gave me this sense of excitement about the future, like anything is possible if I just take that first step.
My Realization
In the end, it was a pretty cool experience. I realized that transformation isn’t just a one-time event, it’s a constant process. It’s about embracing change, letting go of the old, and stepping into the new, even when it’s scary. It is more like, change is the only constant. And these cards, they’re just tools to help us understand that process a little better.
I’ll probably keep doing this, maybe make it a weekly thing. It’s a nice way to check in with myself and see where I’m at. Plus, it’s just fun to play with the cards and see what comes up. I think we all need a bit of that magic in our lives, don’t you think?
