Okay, so I wanted to make a Chinese zodiac calendar for 2022. I’ve always been kinda fascinated by the animals and the whole system, so I figured, why not try to make my own?
First, I needed to get the basics down. I looked up the order of the animals, you know, Rat, Ox, Tiger, all that. And I needed to figure out which animal corresponded to 2022. Turns out, 2022 was the Year of the Tiger.

Then came the slightly tricky part. I needed to find the exact dates for the lunar calendar. See, the Chinese zodiac calendar isn’t the same as the regular Gregorian calendar we use every day. It’s based on the cycles of the moon. So, I did some digging online and found a few websites that listed the lunar calendar dates for 2022.
My Little Project Steps
- Find the start date of the Lunar year 2022.
- Grab a regular 2022 calendar template. I just found a simple one I could print out.
- Match it up.Carefully noted the start date of the Lunar Year.
- Write in the * every month after that point, until the end of the lunar year.
- Checked my work! I double-checked the dates and made sure I hadn’t messed up any of the animal placements.
It took a bit of time, mostly because I kept getting distracted by reading about the different zodiac * wasn’t perfect, but it was my Chinese zodiac calendar for 2022, and I was pretty happy with how it turned out!
