Alright, let’s talk about them tarot card cases, you know, the things you put your cards in. I’ve seen a whole bunch of ’em, some fancy, some not so much.

First off, you got your leather ones. Real nice, they are. Feels good in your hand, like a good pair of work gloves. Some are plain, just leather, and some got all sorts of doodads on ’em, like moons and stars. You know, the kinda stuff them city folks like. They say leather protects the cards good, keeps ’em from gettin’ all bent outta shape. And they come in different colors too, brown, black, grey, even seen a red one once. Looked like a fancy purse, it did.
Then there’s them velvet bags. Soft, real soft. Like a kitten’s ear, if you ever felt one of those. They ain’t as tough as the leather, but they’re good for keepin’ the cards from gettin’ scratched up. And they come in all sorts of colors too, purple, blue, green, you name it. Some even got little strings on ’em, so you can tie ‘em up tight. Keeps the cards from fallin’ out, I reckon.
- Leather Cases: Tough and fancy, good for protectin’ your cards.
- Velvet Bags: Soft and pretty, keeps the cards from gettin’ scratched.
- Wooden Boxes: Sturdy and strong, makes your cards feel important.
Now, some folks, they like them wooden boxes. Real sturdy, they are. Like a little treasure chest for your cards. Some got fancy carvings on ’em, like trees and such. Makes the cards feel important, like they hold some kinda secret. Them wooden boxes are good if you don’t wanna be carryin’ your cards around all the time. You just set the box on a shelf, and there they are, safe and sound.
I seen some boxes that even have a little stand, so you can prop up a card while you’re readin’ it. Fancy, ain’t it? But I reckon it’s useful if you got a lot of cards and don’t wanna be holdin’ ’em all the time.
And then there’s them plain ol’ cardboard boxes. Nothin’ fancy about ‘em, but they do the job. They come with the cards sometimes, and they’re good enough for keepin’ ’em together. But they ain’t gonna last forever, you know. They get all bent and torn up after a while.
You can even get those blank cards, and make your own. Comes with a case, too. Now, that sounds like a lot of work to me, but some folks like doin’ that kinda thing. They draw their own pictures and make up their own meanings. Good for them, I say.

I heard tell some folks put their cards in drawers or on shelves, just out in the open. But that don’t seem right to me. Cards need to be protected, you know? Like a good quilt, they gotta be kept safe from the dust and the dirt.
And you can put other things in the cases too, not just cards. Some folks put little crystals in there, or trinkets, or whatever they fancy. Makes the cards feel special, I guess. Like they got their own little friends to keep ‘em company.
So, there you have it, a whole bunch of different ways to keep your tarot cards safe. Leather, velvet, wood, cardboard, whatever you like. Just make sure you take care of ’em, ’cause them cards are important. They can tell you things, if you know how to listen.
What size are these cases? Well, most of ’em are made to fit them regular-sized cards. But I seen some bigger ones, for them bigger cards, and some smaller ones, for them tiny little cards. You just gotta measure your cards and find a case that fits, simple as that.
You can even get personalized cases, with your name on ’em or somethin’. Now that’s gettin’ real fancy. But if that’s what you want, go for it, I say. It’s your cards, after all.
So, go on out there and find yourself a good tarot card case. Keep them cards safe and sound, and they’ll keep you company for years to come. And that’s all there is to it.
