Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with a word search puzzle, and I picked “Constellations” as the theme. It’s kind of a cool way to learn about the stars and stuff while having fun with a puzzle.
I started by grabbing a Constellations word search puzzle. I just looked around on the internet and found one that looked pretty good. It was available as a PDF, which was perfect because I could easily print it out or just use it on my computer.

I decided to print it out because, well, I like having a physical paper to work with. It’s just my favorite way to do these puzzles. So I found the file in PDF format and opened it up. My computer has Adobe Acrobat Reader, so it was no problem getting it open.
Getting Started With The Puzzle
Once I had the puzzle in front of me, I started looking for the words. They were all names of constellations, which was pretty neat. I saw some familiar ones like Ursa Major and Orion, and those were easy to spot.
- Look for the easy ones: I always start by scanning for the words that I recognize right away. It’s a good way to get some quick wins and build momentum.
- Go row by row, column by column: After finding a few easy ones, I started going through the puzzle systematically. I looked at each row from left to right, then each column from top to bottom.
- Circle the words: As I found each constellation name, I circled it neatly. This helps keep track of what I’ve already found and makes it easier to see the remaining words.
Running Into Some Challenges
Some of the constellations were tougher to find, though. There were some names I didn’t even recognize, like “Canis Major” and “Cassiopeia” which took me some more time to find. And because they were long words, I had to look carefully to make sure I got all the letters in the right order.
But I kept at it, scanning each row and column carefully. It was a bit of a challenge, but that’s what makes it fun, right? It took a while, but I finally managed to find all the words in the puzzle. It was super satisfying to see them all circled.
After I finished, I looked around online for an answer key to double-check my work. I found one easily enough, also in PDF format. I compared my answers with the key, and guess what? I got them all right! That was a pretty good feeling.
So yeah, that’s how I spent my time today messing around with a Constellations word search. It was a fun and kind of educational way to kill some time. If you’re into stars and puzzles, you should totally try it out.
