They say you can find it near Orion, which is a constellation I actually know how to spot! You just find Orion’s Belt and follow the line from Rigel to Betelgeuse. I started browsing some online shops, just to see what was out there. There were a lot of generic, mass-produced ones. Some had a simple outline of the constellation, others tried to incorporate the twin imagery, but nothing really grabbed me. I mean, if I’m going to wear something that represents my zodiac sign, I want it to be special. It’s gotta have that wow factor. So, I kept on searching and browsing, hoping to find something that truly resonated.
After a few days, I kind of got the idea to make my own. I’m no jeweler, but I’ve always been pretty crafty. I found a bunch of tutorials and examples and put it together. It was actually kind of fun and the necklace turned out way better than I expected!
The process was pretty straightforward. First, I sketched out a few designs. Then I picked out some materials, small silver chains, a couple of pearl-like beads for the “heads” of the twins, and some smaller, sparkly beads to represent the other stars. I even found a tiny silver charm in the shape of the Gemini symbol to hang in the middle. After that, I carefully assembled all the pieces. I used a pair of pliers to connect the chains and beads. I also added the Gemini charm.
I was so stoked with how it turned out! It’s simple, but it really captures the essence of the Gemini constellation. Plus, it’s got those personal touches, like the pearl beads and the little charm, that make it feel extra special.
