Alright, so the other day, I tried out this thing called a “Birthday Tarot Spread.” I’d heard about it from a few friends and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” It’s supposed to give you a little insight into your year ahead based on your birthday. Sounds fun, right?
First off, I grabbed my tarot deck. It’s this old deck I’ve had for ages, and I feel like it knows me pretty well by now. I gave the cards a good shuffle while thinking about my upcoming year. You know, just trying to get my energy into them.

Getting Started
Next, I laid out twelve cards in a circle, kind of like a clock. Each card represents a month of the year, starting from my birth month. I made sure to really focus while I was picking each card, hoping to get a clear picture.
The Spread
- First card: This one was for my birthday month. It sets the stage for the year. Mine was the “Strength” card. I took that as a good sign – maybe I’ll be tackling some big stuff this year.
- Second card: This was for the next month, and so on. I got a mix of cards, some good, some a bit more challenging. Like, the “Three of Swords” popped up for one month, which is never fun to see, but hey, at least I’m warned, right?
- All the way to the twelfth card: Each card gave me something to think about for that specific month. It was like mapping out a little emotional journey for the year.
Reflecting
After I laid them all out, I took some time to just sit with the cards. I looked at each one, thought about what it might mean, and how it could relate to my life. It was a pretty chill process, just me and my cards, having a little heart-to-heart.
I also jotted down some notes in my journal. I wrote about each card and what I thought it represented. It helped to see it all written out, made it feel more real, I guess.
Wrapping Up
Honestly, the whole experience was pretty cool. Whether you believe in tarot or not, it’s a nice way to reflect on your life and think about your goals for the year. I’m not saying I’m going to live my life strictly by these cards, but it’s definitely given me some food for thought.
If you’re looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon and maybe get a little perspective on your year, I’d say give the Birthday Tarot Spread a try. Who knows what you might discover?
