Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get my hands on the Apokalypsis Tarot Deck for a while now. I finally decided to just go for it and, let me tell you, it’s been an… experience.
First, I ordered the deck online. I think I waited, like, a week for it to arrive. It was so exciting when I got the package, and I immediately tore it open. The box itself is beautiful, all dark and mysterious. The card stock? Super thick. I mean, these things feel substantial.

Getting to Know the Cards
I spent a good few hours just looking at each card. The artwork is intense. Really detailed and, honestly, a bit spooky. I’ve worked with other tarot decks before, but these images were something else. It took me longer to connect with them at first. I had to let the artwork sink in.
Instead of jumping right into readings, I decided to do a daily card pull. Just one card each morning, to get a feel for the deck’s energy. Here’s how I did it:
- Shuffle the deck while thinking about the day ahead.
- Cut the deck into three piles.
- Pick a card from whichever pile felt right.
- Look up the meaning in the guidebook that came with it (which is also beautifully done, by the way).
- Journal about how the card’s meaning might relate to my day.
It’s been really interesting doing this. Some days, the card would be spot on. Like, eerily accurate. Other days, I had to really dig to find a connection. But that’s part of the process, I guess.
First Full Reading
After a week or so of daily pulls, I finally felt ready to do a full reading. I used a simple three-card spread: past, present, future. I was doing the reading for a friend, too, to up the stakes. It was a bit nerve-wracking. I really wanted to be helpful, not just spew out nonsense.
The reading went pretty well. The friend who I was reading for seemed to resonate with what the cards said. Or at least what I interpreted them to say, it felt like the cards were speaking a whole different language, almost ancient.

I’m still learning with this deck. It’s definitely not one you can just pick up and master overnight. But I’m enjoying the journey. It’s pushing me to think deeper and look at things from a different perspective. If you are into deeper, maybe even darker images in your readings, this is the one.
