Well, howdy there! Let’s talk about them… whatchamacallit… constellation ties, yeah, that’s it. You know, them fancy neck thingies with the stars all over ’em.
Now, I ain’t no city slicker, but even I can see these here ties are somethin’ special. They got all them sparkly stars, just like the ones you see up in the sky at night, only these here are right on your chest, close enough to touch, almost. I reckon that’s why some folks like ‘em so much.

Where to Find ‘Em, You Ask?
Well, I hear tell you can find these constellation ties all over the place. They say there’s this thing called the “internet” where you can find just about anythin’. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me, but my grandkid showed me, and wouldn’t you know it, there they were! Lots of folks makin’ and sellin’ ‘em. Some are all fancy and handmade, and some, well, they look like they came outta some machine, but they all got them stars, that’s for sure.
One place they mentioned is called “Zazzle.” Sounds like a funny name, right? Like somethin’ a fly would make buzzin’ around your head. But they say you can get all sorts of ties there, even make your own! Can you imagine that? Me, designin’ a tie? Well, I’d put a big ol’ dipper on it, that’s for sure. That dipper, it always points me home.
- Handmade vs. Store-Bought: Some folks, they like things made by hand. They say it’s got more “soul” or somethin’. But me, I ain’t picky. If it looks good and holds my collar together, it’s good enough for me.
- Different Kinds of Ties: Now, I always thought a tie was just a tie, but apparently there’s all sorts. Long ones, short ones, bow ties that look like butterflies. Them bow ties, they remind me of them fancy fellas you see in the movies, all dressed up and proper. And these star bowties, they make ya look even fancier.
These bowties come in different shapes too. Some are like those cricket bats, flat and straight. Others are curvy, like a thistle flower. I reckon it’s all a matter of what tickles your fancy.
- Why Folks Wear ‘Em: Some folks wear these ties ’cause they like lookin’ at the stars. They call ’em “star gazers” or “night owls.” I guess they spend all night lookin’ up at the sky, which sounds kinda cold to me. I like my sleep, I do. But hey, to each their own. And these constellation ties, they let these folks carry a piece of the night sky with ‘em wherever they go. That’s kinda neat, I gotta admit.
What are These Constellations Anyways?
Now, I ain’t no scientist, but I heard tell that them constellations are just groups of stars that look like pictures. You know, like connect-the-dots, but with stars. And them stars, they’re way, way out yonder. So far away, they seem like they ain’t movin’ at all. That’s what my grandkid told me anyways. Smart kid, that one.

Silk Ties and Starry Nights
Some of the fanciest constellation ties are made of silk. That’s that smooth, shiny stuff that feels real nice against your skin. And when you got a silk tie with them constellations on it, well, you’re lookin’ mighty fine, let me tell ya. Especially if it’s a dark blue tie, like the night sky itself, with all them sparkly stars just poppin’ out. Makes you feel like you could reach up and touch ‘em.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a way to spruce up your look, or if you just like them stars, a constellation tie might be just the ticket. They’re a little bit fancy, a little bit fun, and a whole lotta star-studded. And who knows, maybe wearin’ one will bring you a little bit of that starry night magic.
Now, I gotta go feed the chickens. You city folks and your fancy ties… always somethin’ new! But I reckon even an old gal like me can appreciate a little bit of sparkle now and then.
