Okay, so the other day I was trying to figure something out about my birth year, 1982, and how it relates to the Chinese zodiac. I’ve always known I was a Dog, but I wanted to get a little more specific, you know, like see it on a calendar.
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up the browser. I just typed in “chinese zodiac calendar 1982”. Simple enough, right?

Lots of image results popped up. I clicked on a few, and most of them were these colorful charts showing all the animals and years. It was cool, but not exactly what I was looking for. I wanted, like, an actual calendar calendar.
Digging Deeper
Then, I scrolled through some of the search results, and found some websites that generate your Chinese zodiac animal, element (like, water, fire, etc.), and all that stuff if you enter in your birthday. I thought about the imformation and add my own birthday, I did get a brief for my birthday.
- Date: xxxx,xx,xx, 1982(I don’t want to share my birthday details! haha)
- Animal: Dog
- Element: Water
So, 1982 is the Year of the Water Dog. That part I already kind of knew, but seeing it laid out like that was interesting.
Still, I really wanted to see a calendar. After some more digging around,I find some information, It’s not very detail, but at least I know I was born in the year of the Water Dog.
It wasn’t the easiest thing to find! Most sites just want to tell you about your zodiac sign, not show you an actual calendar. But, I got my answer in the end. And hey, learning a little bit more about the Water Dog was pretty neat, too.
