Okay, so the other day I was trying to figure something out about my birth year, you know, the whole Chinese zodiac thing. I was born in 1973, and I wanted a cool calendar showing my animal sign. So, I started digging.
First, I just went to my trusty search engine and typed in “chinese zodiac calendar 1973”. I figured that would be the easiest way to get the information I needed directly.

My Simple Research
I started by scrolling through the images, and I was immediately getting a lot of different styles of charts.
Then i opened a few of * were giving me the straight-up answer which is what I needed.
Figuring Out the Animal
- I confirmed I’m a Water Ox. That’s my Chinese zodiac animal for 1973.
- I also learned that the Lunar New Year in 1973 started on February 3rd. So anyone born before that date in ’73 is actually a Rat, not an Ox. Good to know!
Finding a Nice image
I went back to the search results, specifically looking at images this time. I wanted something that looked nice, not just a plain table.I found some really artistic ones with beautifully drawn Oxen.
So, that’s it! It was a pretty quick search. I got the information I needed, and found a few cool calendar images along the way. Now I have a clear picture of my Chinese zodiac sign and year, and the process was super easy!
