Okay, so I finally got my hands on the Smoke Ash and Embers Tarot deck. I’d been eyeing it for a while, you know, the artwork just looked so intriguing. So, I ripped open the package – yeah, I’m not one for gentle unwrapping – and spread the cards out on my table.
First thing I did? Just looked at them. Seriously, I spent a good twenty minutes just flipping through, admiring the art. It’s all smoky and, well, ashy, just like the name says. Lots of muted colors, very atmospheric. I love that vibe.

Getting to Know the Deck
After the initial ogling, I decided to do a simple three-card spread. You know, past, present, future. Just a quick way to get a feel for the deck’s energy. Shuffled them, focused on a general question about my week, and laid them out.
- Past: The card I got was some kind of knight, looked pretty weary. Made sense, I’d been working my butt off lately.
- Present: This one showed a figure standing at a crossroads. Yeah, felt that. Lots of decisions looming.
- Future: A card with a single burning candle. I took it as a sign of hope, a little light in the darkness.
I did a reading for my friend. She has a smoke ash and ember tarot deck. I pulled three cards for her general future outlook, and wow, it has deep meaning. It is very suitable for her.
My First Impressions
Honestly, the reading felt surprisingly accurate. Not in a spooky, fortune-teller way, but more like the cards were reflecting my own inner thoughts and anxieties back at me. It was kind of like talking to a really insightful friend, you know? They don’t tell you what to do, but they help you see things more clearly.
I’m definitely going to keep working with this deck. I think it’s going to be great for those times when I need to dig deep and really think about what’s going on in my life. And, let’s be real, the artwork is just gorgeous. So, yeah, I’d say my first experience with the Smoke Ash and Embers Tarot was a win!
