Okay, so I got curious about Jimmy Buffett, the “Margaritaville” guy, you know? I wanted to see what his astrology chart looked like, so I decided to figure it out myself.
Finding the Birth Info
First things first, I needed his birth details. That means birth date, time, and place. I did a quick search and found he was born on December 25, 1946, in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Sweet, Christmas baby!

The time, though? That’s always the tricky part. I looked around online, saw some folks saying different stuff, even some astrology sites had conflicting times. Ugh.
Digging into Chart Calculations
Next, I needed a way to create the chart, I found this tool online that lets you input the data and it generates the chart, It’s basic, but hey, it does the job.
I put in December 25, 1946. I used noon as an estimated birth time, It’s not precise, but without an exact time, it’s better than nothing. Pascagoula, Mississippi, was the location, I had to type that in too, I got longitude and latitude, and time zone all that important stuff.
The Chart Appears!
And boom! The chart popped up. I’m no expert, but I can still figure out some basic stuff. The program calculated the following for me:
- Sun Sign: Capricorn. Makes sense, hardworking and all that.
- Moon Sign: It showed his Moon in Scorpio. Emotional depth, I guess!
- Rising Sign:This depends a lot on the birth time, with my noon estimate, it put him at Cancer Rising.
I did get all the planet positions, too, in the different houses. I won’t pretend I understood all the details, you know, aspects, and degrees, and all that advanced astrology stuff.
My Takeaway
So, what’s the big deal? I mean, I got a chart, though it’s not 100% accurate without the real birth time. It was still fun to look at, and you know, you can see how some of the Capricorn and Scorpio energy might have played into his music and laid-back, but also, business-savvy vibe.

I gotta say, I’m not totally sure if I’m doing this astrology thing right, but it was a fun way to spend an hour or two!
