Okay, so I’ve been getting into Tarot lately, and I thought, why not try doing a reading for myself and a friend? I mean, “Tarot for you and me,” right? It sounded like a fun little experiment, so I grabbed my deck and got started.
First, I shuffled the cards. I’m no expert, so I just did the old-fashioned way, spreading them out on the table and mixing them around. I wanted to get my energy into the cards, you know? Make it personal.

Then, I thought about a question. Something simple, not too heavy. I went with, “What energy should I focus on this week?” Because, who couldn’t use a little guidance, am I right?
Next up, I picked three cards. I fanned the deck out and just went with my gut. Pulled three cards, and laid them out in a row, face down.
- Card 1: Represents the past.
- Card 2: Represents the present.
- Card 3: Represents the future.
I flipped them over, one by one. Now, I’m still learning the meanings of all the cards, so I had my little guidebook handy. I looked up each card, read the descriptions, and tried to figure out what it all meant. It was a bit like solving a puzzle, piecing together the different interpretations.
After that, I called my friend, let’s call her Sarah. I told her I wanted to try a reading for her too. She was game, so I had her think of a question while I shuffled the deck again.
She asked, “What’s coming up for me in my love life?” Ooh, juicy! I had her pick three cards (virtually, of course, since she wasn’t with me). I had her tell me the order and card name that she draw.
Again, I flipped them over (well, in my mind, since she was on the phone), and we looked up the meanings together. We talked about it, bounced ideas off each other, and tried to make sense of what the cards were saying.

Honestly the card that I drawed is a bit confusing for me, but I will try to understand the meaning of the cards more deeply.
It was actually really fun! It wasn’t about predicting the future with 100% accuracy, but more about getting some perspective, sparking some conversation, and having a bit of a laugh. We definitely had a few “aha!” moments, and it was a cool way to connect.
So, that’s my little “Tarot for you and me” adventure. I’m definitely going to keep practicing. It’s a neat way to tap into my intuition, and hey, who knows, maybe I’ll become a Tarot whiz someday! But for now, it’s just a fun little hobby.
