Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here watch, the Omega Constellation Gold Pie Pan. Folks say it’s a real fancy thing, but I just see a watch, ya know? But they tell me it’s special, so I’ll tell ya what I heard.
This Omega Constellation, they say it was one of the first watches they made a whole bunch of that actually kept good time. Imagine that! A watch that tells the time right! Not like that old cuckoo clock I had that was always screamin’ at the wrong hour.

And this “Pie Pan” name they got for it? Well, it’s ’cause the face of the watch, it ain’t just flat. It’s got these little corners all around the edge, like a pie pan, you see? Twelve of ’em, one for each hour. Someone got real clever with that name, I tell ya. Probably some city slicker.
They named it Constellation after some stars. Stars! Like the ones you see at night when you gotta go out to the outhouse. But these stars, they put ’em on the back of the watch, eight of ’em. Fancy, huh?
- They say this watch started way back in 1952. That’s a long time ago, even before my Bessie was born!
- And folks seem to really like these watches. They say it’s one of the watches Omega has been makin’ the longest. Guess they must be doin’ somethin’ right.
- They make ’em outta different stuff, too. Gold, mostly. That’s the one they talk about the most, the gold one. Shiny and all.
Now, they got all sorts of numbers and letters for these watches, like 14393-61-SC. Don’t ask me what that means. It’s just a bunch of jibber-jabber to me. But I guess it tells the watch folks what kind of watch it is, ya know?
And the price! Lord have mercy, the prices they ask for these things! I heard someone sayin’ somethin’ ’bout two thousand dollars! Two thousand dollars! That’s enough to buy a whole new cow and maybe even a little tractor!
But why is it so popular? Well, they say it’s ’cause it’s well-made. That it keeps time good and it looks nice. And I guess that shiny gold don’t hurt none neither.
I seen some pictures of these watches, and they do look kinda purdy. All shiny and gold, with that funny pie pan face. And they got that little star on the back. It’s a looker, alright.

But for me? I’d rather have a good ol’ rooster to tell me the time. Never needs a battery, and it crows real loud when it’s time to get up and get to work.
But if you got a hankerin’ for a fancy watch, this Omega Constellation Gold Pie Pan seems to be the one folks are always talkin’ about. Just be ready to shell out some serious cash for it. And don’t go losin’ it in the henhouse, ya hear?
So, there you have it. That’s all I know ’bout this here Omega Constellation Gold Pie Pan watch. It’s fancy, it’s old, and it costs a whole lot of money. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.
