Okay, here is my sharing about Sexual Magic Tarot.
So, I saw this deck online, the Sexual Magic Tarot, and I thought, “Why not?” I mean, I’ve used the Rider-Waite deck for a while, it is the most popular one, but this one looked interesting. It’s got these watercolor paintings, kind of vintage-looking, and it’s all about, you know, sexual energy.

I ordered it, and when it arrived, the first thing I did was check out the cards. They’re a bit smaller than the usual ones, 2.68×4 inches, and they feel silky smooth. They say it is printed on 400g cardstock. I guess that’s good? Anyway, the artwork is pretty intense, not gonna lie. It’s by this artist, Umberto Brunelleschi. I looked him up, and his stuff is pretty cool.
I started by just shuffling the deck, getting a feel for it. I laid out a simple three-card spread – past, present, future. The cards I got were… well, they definitely made me think. The booklet that came with it has its own meanings for each card, different from the usual Rider-Waite interpretations. It is fun to try!
For example, one card I pulled, which normally means new beginnings, in this deck, it talked about unleashing your inner desires. Kinda makes sense, right? New beginnings, new you, exploring your sexuality. I spent a good hour just going through the cards, reading the booklet, and comparing them to my regular deck.
Then, I decided to try a full reading. I focused on a question I had about a relationship I’m in. It’s been a bit rocky lately, and I wanted some insight. I used a more complex spread this time, one I found online that’s supposed to be good for relationship stuff. It was a Celtic Cross spread, I laid the cards out, took my time with each one, and tried to connect the meanings to my situation.

The reading was intense, I gotta say. It brought up some things I hadn’t really thought about, especially about how my own insecurities might be affecting things. It also suggested that communication is key, which, yeah, I know, but it’s always good to be reminded. There is no other better advice, I think.
I finished the reading, feeling a bit drained but also kind of… hopeful? I took some notes in my journal, just to keep track of what I felt and the insights I got. I put the deck away, thinking I’d come back to it in a few days and see if anything had changed.

I used the deck a few more times after that, always with a specific question in mind. I tried to find the relationship between sexual energy and some questions. Sometimes it was about relationships, sometimes about personal growth, and honestly, each time I learned something new. It’s not just about sex, although that’s definitely part of it. It’s more about understanding your own desires and how they affect your life.
So, yeah, that’s my experience with the Sexual Magic Tarot. It’s definitely not your average tarot deck, but if you’re open to exploring a different side of yourself, I’d say give it a try. It helped me a lot, and I am still keeping using it for a while!
