Okay, so I wanted to make a Chinese zodiac calendar for 2012, the Year of the Dragon. I’ve always been fascinated by the Chinese zodiac, and I thought it would be a fun project to create my own calendar. I’m a big fan of DIY and always to try different ways to put my spin on.
First, I gathered my materials. I knew that I would make a digital calendar, and I found that there is lots of free online tools that can make calendar.

Finding the Right Dates
Then I started by searching the correct dates for the 2012 Chinese New Year. I quickly found out that it started on January 23rd, 2012, and ended on February 9th, 2013. This part was important to get right.
Designing the Calendar
Next, I wanted something simple, So I choose the basic template. I picked a nice, readable font, and a simple color.
After getting all of the dates and the main design finished, I went back and double-checked everything. It’s really important to me that things are accurate, especially since this deals with a specific cultural tradition.I made a few test prints just to be sure, and yep, they looked good!
Finally, I got a finished Chinese zodiac calendar. It felt good to make and finish my calendar.
